Stuart Hogg will lead a Scotland side featuring 12 changes for their Test against the USA in Houston in the early hours of Sunday morning.
This follows Scotland’s 48-10 victory over Canada last weekend in a performance loaded with Edinburgh players.
And head coach Gregor Townsend explained it was always the plan to give Glasgow players a week’s rest after the club reached the PRO14 semi-finals.
Townsend said: “We always planned to play as much of the squad as possible on this tour, and we also deliberately picked more Edinburgh players in the first game because their season finished earlier.
“Now we welcome most of the Glasgow Warriors contingent into the team. On top of that there are seven players making their first starts for the country, which is really exciting, and we are looking forward to them going out and grabbing this opportunity.”
Townsend names two pairs of brothers in his starting XV, as Matt and Zander Fagerson and George and Peter Horne get ready to start in Houston, Texas. It will be the first time in eight years two sets of brothers will be on the pitch at the same time.
Five new players will be blooded in for their first starts in Glasgow trio Jamie Bhatti, George Turner and Adam Hastings – all of Glasgow, as well as Edinburgh forwards Lewis Carmichael and Luke Hamilton.
Hogg will skipper the inexperienced team on the occasion of his 61st cap.
