A rugby cap for Ireland, and a place on the wing for Arsenal

IRELAND-Wales in Dublin yesterday marked the 70th anniversary of an event which has long been forgotten in the mists of time. It deserves dusting down if only as a brief reminder to how different sport used to be in the immediate post- Second World War era.
