STEVE Diamond, Sale Sharks’ director of rugby, admitted his team need to be more clinical when they get into winning positions.
He said: “We lost the game ourselves.
“We’ve got good moves and we’ve got good players, but if you don’t get your basics right you can’t expect anything else.
“Faf (de Klerk) was good with the boot and Denny’s (Solomona) second try was class. There were a lot of good things out there, but if our intention is to be a good side we’ve got to put those teams to bed. It was there for the taking.”
