CORNISH Pirates could face an RFU fine after cancelling the original British & Irish Cup clash with Hartpury on January 20.
The rescheduled match, which took place yesterday, had to be played at Hartpury with a risk it could be cancelled a second time after an inspection of the Mennaye Field on Friday.
Clause 6.8 of British & Irish Cup rules state a second pitch should be available in the event the main pitch cannot be used.
