HUDDERSFIELD outscored Luctonians by six tries to three in difficult conditions at Mortimer Park.
Lucs, who were mourning the loss of first team manager Ali Waugh, who died suddenly last week, put up a spirited performance, but Field’s strong pack and defence held firm.
Lucs also had to play witrh 14 men for much of the match after Zac Watkins was dismissed after half an hour.
Prior to the card, Field had taken a deserved lead with Fran Entressengle and Austen Thompson both scoring to give the visitors a 10-0 advantage.
