NEWPORT made it into the second round of the WRU National Cup with a hard-fought victory over Swansea.
The two sides exchanged penalties inside the opening quarter, but it was the Black and Ambers who scored the opening try when the Swansea backs were too ambitious in running from deep and gifted a touch down to winger Eliott Frewen, who troubled the hosts all afternoon with his pace and running.
