Ackermann leads race to sign Kriel

Lions skipper: Jaco Kriel

GLOUCESTER head coach Johan Ackermann is keen on signing Springbok flanker Jaco Kriel, who played a major role for him at the Lions where he made him club captain.
Kriel has also been attracting interest from Wasps but Ackermann has had his eye on the back rower since moving to Kingsholm.
Kriel is out of contract at the end of the 2018 Super Rugby season and has signed to play for Japanese side Kubota Spears in the 2017/18 Top League. He would be an ideal replacement for Ross Moriarty who should this week confirm that he is joining the Dragons on a two- year con...
