WASPS put their crushing defeat at the hands of Newcastle behind them by grinding out a 22-12 success at Sale Jets on Monday.
Having been humbled 67-21 in front of their home supporters by Falcons, Wasps arrived at Heywood Road with a point to prove.
Sale, who included former Wasps hooker Rob Webber, as well as two other players with international experience in Tongan Halani Aulika and Samoan Johnny Leota exploded out of the blocks with Arron Reed breaking through to set up George Nott for a third-minute try.
