BURY St Edmunds’ terrific first-half display was sufficient to see them past a resolute Broadstreet.
After Lee Chapman had kicked wide for the hosts in the opening exchanges, Bury took the lead through prop David Coutts, who crashed over on 14 minutes.
Liam McBride, who kicked solidly for much of the afternoon, added the extras to make it 7-0.
Chapman put the hosts on the board three minutes later with a penalty, before McBride restored the visitors’ seven-point gap with three of his own.
