SIR IAN McGeechan summed it up best. “Great to see the sidestep is still part of the game,” said the former Lions guru to welcome a brilliant individual try by Callum Irvine.
The 23-year-old fly-half, signed on a one-year deal from Harrogate, changed the course of this match in the 68th minute by surging through a surprised Nottingham defence.
Irvine produced two quick sidesteps to leave the defence floundering around halfway and ended up scoring under the posts.
