MATT Jess has blasted the “ridiculous criticism” aimed at Jack Nowell, insisting the revitalised winger’s two-try display against the Chiefs last week has put his Exeter colleague in pole position to consign George North’s Lions tour to the bin.
Nowell and North were omitted from yesterday’s first Test against New Zealand but will look to stake claims for inclusion in the last two matches when the Lions take on Hurricanes in their final midweek match in Wellington on Tuesday.
