LEIGH Halfpenny will be available for the start of the British and Irish Lions tour even if Toulon reach the Top14 final.
The French showdown will take place on June 4 a day after the Lions’ first game.
But Halfpenny revealed: “Toulon agreed to put in a clause for my Lions release and owner Mourad Boudjellal told me, ‘we know how big the Lions is for you and we are happy to let you go’.”
