Caldy land title after stunning fightback

CALDY enjoyed a day to remember as they were crowned champions of National 2 North after a game played in perfect conditions, in front of Caldy’s biggest crowd in a decade.
It was the narrowest of victories for the league leaders, and it could have been very different with an impressive Sale intent on spoiling the party.
The first half belonged to the visitors. Despite a dominant scrum and some enterprising play from their talented back line, Caldy couldn’t break through Sale’s steel cordon.
