Cockerill poised for Edinburgh job

RICHARD Cockerill looks set to take over as the new head coach of PRO12 side Edinburgh next season after a dramatic turn of events.
Cockerill, 46, has been working as a coaching consultant at Toulon since leaving his job as Leicester Tigers director of rugby.
He has been Edinburgh’s leading target to replace Alan Solomons, who stepped down in September, since he parted company at Welford Road.

It is widely known that Cockerill, above, had been high on the wanted list of Worcester Warriors before Gary Gold took over at Sixways on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
