EXETER-BOUND Toby Salmon says there is no secret to his rise to the top via the lower leagues and a spell in New Zealand – it’s all been down to hard work.
Chiefs boss Rob Baxter admires players who have had to do the hard yards for their big break, and no-one can accuse the Rotherham lock of having had it easy.
Two years ago, Salmon was playing in National Two South for Chinnor, with spells at North Walsham, Winchester and Basingstoke before that.
