ACCORDING to my research, a grand total of 92 bonus points would have been awarded to all Six Nations over the last ten seasons. Not surprisingly, the losing bonus outpointed the try bonus 2-1.
Losing bonus points – Scotland 17, Ireland 13, Italy 9, England 7, France 7, Wales 7. Total: 60.
Try bonus points – England 9, Ireland 9, France 7, Wales 5, Italy 1, Scotland 1. Total: 32.
Of those, all but four came at the expense of Scotland and Italy.
