1. Paperwork
I’m currently applying for voluntary roles to strengthen my CV ahead of seeking a regular job outside of rugby and all the red tape and paperwork required is doing my head in. Form filling is definitely not my forte!
TRP verdict: True to form, you’re off to a great start.
2. The big shop
My other half used to work shifts so we’d go to the supermarket in midweek when it was quiet. But now we have to do in on weekends when it seems to take twice as long because there’s so many people crowding the aisles. It’s impossible to escape without someone bumping their trolley into you. We have to take our three children with us too – they are one, two and five years old – so you can imagine that’s not much fun. Bribing them with biscuits only works for so long!
TRP verdict: I couldn’t think of a grocer way to spend a Saturday afternoon so you have our sympathy and a second yes.
3. Slow golfers
My biggest pet hate without a doubt. I’m not the best golfer in the world by any stretch but at least I crack on with it and don’t slow others up. It frustrates the hell out of me when someone takes five practice shots only to scuff the ball 10 yards into the rough or they go down the fairway 10 yards at a time but leave their trolley behind and have to waste time to go back and collect it. I either lay up 10 yards behind them, to give them a warning shot, or ring up the course marshal to get him to hurry them along.
TRP verdict: No ifs, no unnecessarily lining up putts, this is going in too.
