Worcester Warriors have announced the signing of flanker Sam Lewis and Australia international Cooper Vuna.
Winger Vuna, who earned two caps against Wales in the summer of 2012, has moved to Sixways from Japanese side Toshiba Brave Lupus and will be available for selection immediately.
Before his move to Japan, Vuna spent three years with Super Rugby side Melbourne Rebels but he made his name in Rugby League playing for the New Zealand Warriors and Newcastle Knights in the NRL.
Meanwhile, Lewis joins from the Ospreys and will also be available immediately after being released by the Welsh region last Friday.
Vuna said: “I’ve recently been following Worcester Warriors and their progress to make it back to the Premiership.
“Seeing the team’s dynamic and style makes me excited to get over there and amongst it.
“I can’t wait to get out on the field and help the team push through and back to where they belong.
“I know that under the guidance of Dean Ryan and the other coaches I’ll be able to further improve my knowledge of rugby as well as my game.”
Lewis added: “The opportunity to join Warriors at such an exciting time was one that really appealed to me.
“With all the facilities in place and Dean’s vision for the future, I see Sixways as the ideal place for me to develop my game and I’m looking forward to being a part of the journey.”
Warriors Director of Rugby Dean Ryan said: “Cooper is an extremely exciting player who has experience with Australia at the very top of the game so we are delighted the challenge of moving to English rugby is something that appeals to him.
“He is aware of the direction in which this club is moving and will be a valuable player for us as we approach the business end of the season.
“Sam is a player who has experienced the highest level of club rugby from a young age and is now hungry to continue his development within a successful environment.
“We are creating a competitive culture throughout our whole squad and, by integrating players of Sam’s calibre that will only intensify as time goes on.”
