Manu Tuilagi could miss England’s Autumn Series next month after suffering another injury set back.
The Leicester centre pulled out of the match against Ulster on Saturday after just 15 minutes with his groin, the injury that kept him out earlier this season, troubling him.
His availability for England’s Tests next month is yet to be determined but he is unlikely to feature against the Scarlets in the Champions Cup next month.
“It’s a recurrence of his groin, which is not great,” said Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill.
“That was three weeks last time. That’s going to be an issue for him, with us, and obviously with the autumn series.
“He just went to accelerate and he felt his groin go. The way he plays, you just can’t play with that sort of problem.”
England head coach Stuart Lancaster will be sweating on the fitness of another of his centres with Bath‘s Kyle Eastmond looking to have suffered a rib injury in Glasgow.
