Billy Vunipola out of the Six Nations

‘s hopes have been felt a huge blow with the news that  is out for the rest of the competition with an ankle injury.
The No.8, who was strecthed off just before half-time against on Saturday following a tackle by Devin Toner, had a scan this afternoon which revealed some ligament damage to his right ankle.

England take on in two weeks and a win would mean a Triple Crown for ‘s men after wins over and Ireland in the last two rounds.
If he doesn’t rover, Vunipola could be replaced by ‘s Tom Johnson or ‘s Matt Kvesic in the matchday squad with Ben Morgan starting at No.8.

England Head Coach Stuart Lancaster said: “It’s a blow as Billy has had a good Six Nations but he is young and will be back. The encouraging thing is we have got Ben and other back rows such as Matt and Tom who are all competing hard for places.”
