Leicester Tigers are close to completing a deal that will see former Springbok captain Jean de Villiers move to Welford Road.
The 34-year-old who is leaving The Stormers will join up with The Tigers when he recovers from a broken jaw he suffered playing against Samoa in the Rugby World Cup.
De Villiers who captained his country 37 times is the Boks second most capped skipper of all time and has been in talks with The Tigers for months.
The deal at one stage looked to be off with de Villiers seemingly unwilling to commit to a move to the Premiership and was looking at options elsewhere.
But it would appear that he has now had a change of heart and The Tigers are hoping to announce their second marquee signing before the weekend.
