London Scottish have today announced that Ben Prescott has been forced to retire from rugby due to a neck and shoulder injury.
The prop made 21 appearances last season and was a crucial part of the club achieving their highest ever-finish.
He signed for the Exiles the previous summer after spells at Cornish Pirates, Glasgow Warriors, Rotherham, Nottingham, Leinster and Northampton Saints.
The former Scotland age-group representative said: “I’ve had a long career and it was great to finish off at a club like London Scottish.”
“I had a great time at Scottish with such a good bunch of boys, so I’d like to wish them the best of luck for the future and in-particular the season ahead.”
Forwards Coach Tim Payne commented: “Ben is what London Scottish is all about. It is always a shame to see a player have to call it a day through injury, as Ben in particular is such an asset to the squad.
“He can look back on a great career, and I know he will be successful in his next adventure.”
